I want to share with you all the amazing tips and resources around health, happiness and wellbeing that I have discovered in my own journey as a medical doctor, a patient and a mum of 3 young boys.

Over the 20 years that I have been working as a GP and educator, there has been an explosion in chronic ill-health including type 2 diabetes, stroke, heart disease, low back pain, dementia, anxiety and depression.

Lifestyle determinants such as poverty, stress, poor nutrition and lack of physical activity are at the root cause of so many of these health problems. Tackling these clearly requires a joined up effort at all levels, yet as individuals there are many simple changes that we can make with the right information and support.

Using my Functional Medicine training and interest in Lifestyle Medicine and Emotional Health, my aim is is that the information and resources here will be useful for anyone who is interested in using lifestyle change to optimise their health and happiness, as well as for parents wanting to make healthy choices at home.
